A mistake that many new years resolution pursuers make is attempting to make too many drastic changes.

Like for example: going from zero exercise per week to 3 hours a day.

If you are not regularly accustomed to engaging in this much physical activity per day, the change will be too large of a transition for your body to handle.

A better solution: make a small change that you can’t mess up.

Try: 20 minutes of physical activity that you enjoy every day.

Some ideas:

  • Yoga
  • Scenic walks
  • Jogging
  • Zumba
  • Jump rope
  • Biking

  1. I find that a really “easy” one for days when I have no energy is so sit on a recumbent exercise bike (the one with the backrest) and read. You’re sitting down and it feels like you’re hardly working! :).
