My name is Alli, and I’m the face behind this blog. Thanks for stopping by!

I’m a 20-something working in special education, and loving every minute of it. In my free time I do nerdy things like craft my own skincare products, make green smoothies, eat whole foods, travel, and exercise. I follow a plant-based diet, and my motto is “mostly plants with everything else in moderation.” My goal is to inspire others to lead healthy lives through the sharing of my journey.

This is my exhilarated living space, where I leave my thoughts and ideas on everything exhilarated living.

Exhilarated living = living in health and happiness daily.

I created Exhilarated Living to mold a safespace of exhilarated livers; people inspired to live vibrant, healthy lives.

I hope you’ll join us!

Peace n’ blessings,

  1. Alli, thank you for the kind nomination for the Sunshine Award. Thanks for sharing your heart and bringing joy to your readers. Blessings as you continue and pursue your studies. Best to you! -Susie

  2. Hi, I’d like to nominate your blog for the Liebster award. The Liebster award recognizes up and coming blogs (generally those with less than 200 followers), and hopefully drives more traffic your way when I provide a link for my readers/followers. I’m planning a post later this week, Thursday or Friday, which outlines the recognition. Would you accept? If you accept, please either comment on this post or send me an e-mail at herbirthmarks@gmail.com and I’ll provide you with more details. Thanks!

  3. Hi. I have nominated you for the Liebster Award. Information about it can be found at http://energyliving.wordpress.com/2013/03/20/liebster-award-nomination/
I am not usually a chain letter/email person but something about this really appeals to me. I really appreciated being nominated myself and feel that it is a great opportunity to spread some positive energy…so I just want to let you know that I feel your blog deserves to be noticed.
    Happy blogging.
P.S if you want some info on the background to the award, the following is good:

  4. Hi Alli,

Great blog. Like you, I am also seeking to enhance my appreciation of life and specifically, the levels of happiness I can experience. There are many aspects of your thoughts that i share, although upon first glance, our path towards the goal may seem diametrically opposed.

I’m curious how you balance the awareness of the world as is, with the sole determination to think positively. I wonder if you have ever read Happiness for People Who Hate Positive Thinking by Oliver Burkeman. Perhaps also, books like Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. These books, as well as my blog, the Cynical Pessimist’s Guide to Happiness, offers another approach to achieving that happiness while utilizing and incorporating the “darker” so called cynical and pessimist views.

Regardless of our different approaches, I hope you continue finding inspiration and exhileration in your pursuits.
